African Students Society

About us:

As a small group of students from the African community, we saw the need to create the Student
Society of Africa at Vistula University under the wise guidance of our current Student Activities
Coordinator Mr Edip Senyurek. The club was officially founded in 2017 and has been gradually growing
and improving since its establishment. Our objective is to create a warm welcoming atmosphere
amongst all students from different walks of life and showcase our African culture and heritage to the
rest of the world. We aim to carry out the student activities in providing the means of social activity,
mental and moral improvement, recreation and other activities

Projects and achievements

  • African dinner 2019
    The event started at 6 pm by welcoming the students and the officials from Vistula University. The first part of the event started in the Aula where we had speeches from the officials from the university. After that we had performances from talented students and games to select a winner for the Embassy trip that will be take place in Berlin. Then, we proceeded with the second part of the events that was to gather all together to have a meal and enjoy the rest of the night by paying music and dancing.
  • Africa Integration Day 2019
    We played games as ice breaker to know each other. Discuss about the upcoming events like African Dinner, Talent Show, Trip to Berlin and why it is important to be part of the organisation. We had 4 new members that volunteered to join the committee.
  • Halloween Competition 2020
    In order to stay in touch with Vistula’s student, a competition was organised. It was launched on Instagram where every student send us their Halloween pictures were shared on our page. We discussed the rules of the competition and decided who the winner was Amine Attia.
