Graduate of Warsaw University. He studied political sciences and management. He spent the year following his graduation improving his English language knowledge at Central School of English in London (academic year 1974/75). In 1994, he took part in a prestigious training for young entrepreneurs and politicians from Central Europe conducted in Great Britain, Federal Republic of Germany, Belgium (European Union bodies, NATO forces command) and in the Czech Republic. He completed training for candidates for members of supervisory boards of state treasury companies.
In his long professional career, he has joined scientific-didactic work with activity in the economic area. He worked at Warsaw University (assistant intern), Warsaw University of Life Sciences (assistant and assistant professor) and in the Polish Institute of International Relations (assistant professor). For many years he was president of the PLON Construction-Housing Cooperative in Warsaw (1985-1995). In the Polish Parliament, he dealt with economic legislation and organization of MPs’ international contacts. Twice, he represented Polish economic interests abroad. He headed the Commercial Councilor’s Office in Kuwait (territorial competences: Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Bahrain) and the Economic-Trade Division of Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Los Angeles. In the years 2000 – 2003, director general of the Chamber of Foreign Investors in Poland. Prior to leaving for Los Angeles, member of the Supervisory Board of the Cracow Resorts Group.
He was actively supporting Poland in its attempts to join the European Union (participation in international conferences, discussion meetings with high-ranking EU officials and MEPs, statements for the media). Member of the National Board of European Integration for Economic Environments.
Twice, he was conferred 1st degree awards of rectors of Warsaw University of Life Sciences and Warsaw School of Economics. He conducted lectures in Slovenia, Turkey, Sweden and the Netherlands.

- globalization and regionalization of world economy;
- international promotion;
- USA and Arab States economy;
- European-Asian economic relations.
