He defended his doctoral and habilitation thesis at the Faculty of Foreign Trade of the Warsaw School of Economics in Warsaw; he gained academic experience in the USA (San Francisco State University and Harvey Mudd College, Claremont Colleges, CA) and in Germany (University of Mainz); project manager and participant of UN projects in Africa, Central Asia and China – including the international program The Silk Road Initiative in Beijing; he was also a UN regional adviser on the implementation of economic reforms in Central Asia; co-founded The Silk Road Global Alliance (SRGA), an international non-governmental organization promoting the idea of the Silk Road; Honorary Professor at the University of Rizhau (China); in 2014/2016 and in 2017/2018 he managed the Economics program at the Faculty of Business and International Relations at the Vistula Group of Universities.

Teaching/Research interests:

  • The Silk Road (multidisciplinary and multicultural approach);
  • China – history and the present day;
  • modern Asia;
  • management;
  • contemporary international business – its cultural aspects and evolution of the concept;
  • history of economic thought.
