Vistula University professor. In 2014, she obtained her habilitation in theological sciences in the specialty of Islamic and religious studies. In the years 2008 to 2011, she was an assistant to the minister in the National Broadcasting Council dealing with the process of media licensing, broadcasting control and media education. Since 2013, expert of the Border Guard Specialist Training Centre in Lubań in the field of migration, intercultural communication, and socio-cultural identification of foreigners. She also cooperates with the Police and Marshal’s Offices in the field of defense and public safety.
From March 1, 2021, Editor-in-chief of the periodical Społeczeństwo i Polityka. Pismo Edukacyjne, adressing social and political issues.
Her scientific research comprises broadly understood Islamic studies: religion, culture, law, crime, radicalism, terrorism, fundamentalism and intercultural relations of Muslim societies living in Europe. She also undertakes issues concerning political and economic relations in the Middle East and Central Asia.
Between 2017 and 2018, she completed a teaching and research internship at Sulkhan Saba-Orbeliani in Tbilisi, at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. She also conducted research in Jordan, Israel, Turkey, Germany, Lithuania, Ukraine, Russia and Italy.
She is a member of the Polish Association for National Security (PTBN) and author of about 80 scientific publications on Islam.

- Islam in the regions: Middle East, Persian Gulf, Maghreb, Caucasus, Central Asia;
- Middle East: culture, law-religion relations, ethnic, cultural and armed conflicts;
- Socio-economic policy of Gulf states;
- Muslims in the European Union;
- Migration from the MENA area to the EU;
- Intercultural communication;
- Terrorism and Islamophobia.
