Piotr F. Borowski is a graduate of the Faculty of Mechanical and Aeronautical Engineering of the Warsaw University of Technology and holds a doctoral degree from the SGH Warsaw School of Economics. He is currently a Professor at Vistula University. Previously, he worked at the Warsaw University of Life Sciences. He is the author of more than 150 articles published in Polish and international journals, as well as scientific monographs, including 40 articles indexed in Scopus and publications indexed in the Web of Science. His Hirsch index in Scopus is 20. He has been included multiple times in the World’s Top 2% Scientists list, which recognizes researchers based on the impact and citation of their scientific output.

His research focuses, both in Poland and internationally, on the management of enterprises in the energy sector, with particular emphasis on the requirements of a net-zero economy, CO₂ emission reduction, and innovative green solutions.

He completed research internships at St. John’s University in New York and St. Thomas in Addis Ababa. He is also the author of short communications published in New York on the management of LaGuardia Airport and corruption involving the Speaker of the New York State Assembly. He has received numerous individual awards from the Rector of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences for his scientific achievements.

He is an active participant in international scientific conferences, including those held in Egypt, Greece, Turkey, Jordan, and the United Arab Emirates, where he has chaired plenary sessions and thematic sections and presented the results of his research. He has delivered lectures under the Erasmus programme in France, Italy, Ireland, Portugal, and Turkey. During private research trips, he also conducted his own research in Guinea, Ethiopia, and Egypt, with the results subsequently published in international and Polish scientific journals.

He serves as a reviewer for numerous international scientific journals and has received awards for outstanding reviewing on three occasions. For his scientific and professional activities, he was awarded the Bronze Cross of Merit and the Bronze Medal for Long Service by the President of the Republic of Poland. He has also been awarded the highest distinction of the Minister of Science and Higher Education – the Gold Medal “Meritorious for Polish Science Sapientia et Veritas.”
