PhD Karolina Zielińska specialises in international relations in the Middle East. The subjects of her particular interest are the state of Israel, regional cooperation as well as environmental and sustainable development policies.

Graduate of masters degree studies in international relations, post-graduate studies in European law and doctoral studies in the field of social sciences, all at the University of Warsaw. Within exchange and stipend programmes she also studied at the Tampere University (Finland), Haifa University and Ben Gurion University of the Negev (Israel). She also completed a professional internship at the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Damascus.

Author of scientific publications, media commentator, and in the years 2019-2023 – research fellow at the Centre for Eastern Studies. Her practical experience with European integration comes from years of employment in the public administration, within which she, inter alia, undertook a professional training in the European Commission, and chaired an EU Council working party works during the 2011 Polish presidency.
