What the world says about Poland – meeting with foreign correspondents: Gabriele Lesser i Eldoradas Butrimas

After the march on the Independence Day, image of Poland in foreign media, got much worse. The country we have been presented as a turning away from Western values. Do foreign media present too critical or a true picture of Poland? We invite you to meeting with outstanding foreign journalists in Poland: Gabriele Lesser, correspondent of German, Austrian, Swiss newspapers and Eldoradas Butrimas, correspondent of the Lithuanian media. Lesser and Butrimas will talk about the specifics of their work as correspondents in Poland, which will be of particular interest to students from abroad who may be able to undertake similar work in the future.

The meeting will take place on December 6 at 5:30 pm in room 213.

The event is organized by the students of the 3rd year of Journalism in the framework of the seminar “Foreign Correspondent Workshop”, where they learn the principles, ethics and specificity of the work of a reporter working abroad. The lecture is run by former TVP correspondent in London and Berlin Marcin Antosiewicz.

The next meeting in the cycle will be:

  • 13.12.2017 – meeting with Dr. Milena Drzewiecka, journalist, psychologist, TV producer working with foreign stations in Poland and Maciej Czajkowski, former producer of BBC and TVP, currently producing programs for elective.co.uk.

All meetings are free and open to outside guests.
