Warsaw – city of the future in the vision of Beijing architecture students
Young Chinese people have offered us special congratulations on the 100th anniversary of Poland regaining its independence. Students of the Architecture School of the Tsinghua University in Beijing, prepared surprising concepts for the development of Plac Defilad.
We will show them at an exhibition hosted by the AFiB Vistula. These are extremely original and innovative visions, sophisticated and expressive designs. There has been a huge load of energy injected into them. You can see the work of unruly and dynamic people, who are looking for the best way to express themselves.
In recent years, there has been a huge blooming of Middle Kingdom architecture. Young Chinese architects have become real stars. They search for their own language and identity, whilst remaining open to global trends.
This logic can be seen in the works that Chinese students have prepared, especially for Vistula. The project is a response of the authorities of Tsinghua University to the AFiB Vistula Asian Research Centre’s initiative in establishing contacts. The answer was a very warm one, and we owe a debt of gratitude to Vice-Dean LIU Jian and Professor ZHU Wenyi, under whose leadership, Pekinese students made a tremendous effort. It is an extremely pleasing gesture.
Tsinghua University in Beijing belongs to the C9 League – an elite group of the best Chinese universities. It is in a high position in world rankings. One of its most notable graduates is the current Chairman of the People’s Republic of China, Xi Jinping, one of the most influential people in the world.
We cordially invite you to visit the exhibition, which runs from December 17th-31st, on the ground floor of the university campus. Free entrance.
