Opening ceremony of the New Academic Year 2021/2022 in Vistula
The inauguration ceremony of the 2021/2022 New Academic Year, will be held on October the 8th , at 5:00 pm, in the hybrid formula. The traditional event at the university will be broadcast on-line at facebook.com/uczelniavistula
We will open the new academic year once again, with the most solemn moment in the life of Vistula University, and which is also a unique experience for students starting their studies. We will warmly welcome them. During the ceremony, there will be a key act of matriculation.
The opening of the new academic year will also be an opportunity to summarise the past 12 months, and outline plans for next year. Traditional speeches will be given by the universities’ rectors: Wawrzyniec Konarski, PhD, H.M., Rector of Vistula University, and Prof. Alexander Ronikier, PhD, H.M., Rector of the Vistula School of Hospitality. The inaugural lecture: ’Lifelong learning, your superpower to create your life’s direction’, will be given by Stacy Ligas, a Senior Partner of KPMG in Poland. This is an important topic. The lifelong learning concept refers to one’s entire life of activity, the aim of which is to develop knowledge and skills in a personal, social, and professional perspective. To meet the challenges of modern times, you must constantly develop and ‘raise your bar’ of competences.
During the ceremony, doctoral diplomas will also be given.
The ceremony will take place in a hybrid formula, whilst maintaining precautions.
We ask all those who will be present in hall No. 4, to please keep a social distance and wear a mask.
We cordially invite all members of our academic community to participate.
