Laurels for Prof. Elżbieta Biernacka, PhD – lecturer at the Vistula School of Hospitality

Prof. Elżbieta Biernacka, Ph.D., a lecturer at the Vistula School of Hospitality, has been awarded the Medal of the Agronomic Institute in Marymont.

This is the award from the Senate of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, for outstanding contribution to the development of Natural Sciences in Poland.

Prof. Biernacka, is an expert in the development of devastated areas. Her research interests focus on shaping the environment, with particular emphasis on space used for tourism and recreation.

The medal was established in 2006, by the Senate of Warsaw University of Life Sciences, on the 190th anniversary of the foundation of the Agronomic Institute in Marymont.

This institution was the first agricultural university in Poland, laying the foundations of the later SGGW.

The Medal of the Agronomic Institute in Marymont is awarded to persons and research centres for their outstanding achievements in the field of Natural Sciences.
