Knowledge vs emotions

Start: Mon, 21 Sep 2020, 17:30
End: Thu, 24 Sep 2020, 18:30

Knowledge is our greatest ally, but emotions also determine human actions. This applies not only to our daily choices but also to social issues in the sphere of politics and international relations. Many people are easily seduced, manipulated, and frightened, especially today in the age of fake news.

Can knowledge help to control emotions? Of course, yes. Details you will find in the series of lectures by professors of the Vistula University, which will take place on September 21-24, as part of the 24th Science Festival.

  • 21/09/2020 – at 5:30 pm – Ethnoregionalism as mobilization of European dependent nations. A comparative perspective, lecture by prof. Wawrzyniec Konarski;
  • 22/09/2020 – at 5:30 pm – Merkel versus Putin, lecture by Juliusz Maliszewski, PhD;
  • 23/09/2020 – at 5:30 pm – True or False? Fake news attacks, lecture by Piotr Kościński, PhD;
  • 24/09/2020 – at 5:30 – Is Trump an exception? On emotions in international relations, lecture by Przemysław Damski, PhD.

The mission of the festival is to promote science. It allows everyone to interact with science, learn about its methods and achievements, and encourage them to deepen their knowledge. Vistula University willingly joins this fantastic project.

We are waiting for all those who are hungry for knowledge, both at the University and on our Facebook profile.

We cordially invite you. See you soon.
