Inauguration of the New Academic Year 2020/2021 at the Academy of Aleksander Gieysztor in Pułtusk – a branch of Vistula University
Dear students,
The inauguration of the 2020/2021 academic year planned for October 17 was cancelled due to the increase in the incidence of COVID-19. Bearing in mind the health of the people who make up our university community, we could not make any other decision. We hope that at this difficult moment all students, lecturers and administrative staff of the Academy will support each other and will remain healthy.
The inauguration ceremony of the Academic New Year 2020/2021 at the Academy of Aleksander Gieysztor in Pułtusk, will be held on October the 17th, at the Academic Centre. The event will start at 11:00 am.
The inauguration of the new academic year is a unique experience, especially for students starting their studies, and we want to especially greet them.
It is a new stage and is charged with great emotions for them. We want them to feel good in the Academy, to gain knowledge, and develop in a friendly atmosphere.
The General Director of Vistula University, Barbara Smuk, will welcome new students. The traditional speech will be given by the Rector of Vistula University, Professor Wawrzyniec Konarski. The programme of the ceremony also includes a speech from the Dean of the Faculty of Humanities, Małgorzata Gogolewska-Tośka, PhD, and an inaugural lecture by Radosław Lolo, PhD, director of the Vistula Doctoral School, titled: ’Educational traditions of Pułtusk’.
During the ceremony, an act of a solemn oath will take place. The student anthem, ‘Gaudeamus Igitur’, will be heard.
The ceremony will be held on October the 17th, at the Academic Centre at 36B, Mickiewicza St., room 122, at:
- 11:00 – 11:45 am – 1st year of BA studies and MA studies.
