Great success of a Vistula School of Hospitality student
Panashe Mahakwa, from Zimbabwe, – a student of the Vistula School of Hospitality, and a member of the student club “2B”, won the world competition University Challenge’, and gained the MPI Foundation Student Scholarship Award for 2022. The winner received the award at the gala of the largest business tourism fair in the world, the IMEX, in Frankfurt.
The IMEX ‘University Challenge’ is addressed to last-year students of faculties related to the tourism industry. It is a competition that allows young people to show their creativity in planning events.
This year the winner was Panashe Mahakwa, from Zimbabwe, – a student at Vistula School of Hospitality, and a member of the student club “2B”. This was his great personal success, but Nadzeya Melnik – Chairwoman of the “2B” club, Magdalena Kondas – Chairperson of the Business Council, and Magdalena Markiewicz, also participated in it.
Students of Vistula School of Hospitality are well-known in the international business tourism environment. In the last 10 years, they have won the IMEX ‘University Challenge’ competition 3 times, displaying their excellent competences, huge ambitions, and high levels of commitment.
The winners receive their prizes, during the gala of the largest business tourism fair in the world, the IMEX, in Frankfurt. It is a great experience, but also a unique opportunity to learn more about the meetings industry, build networks, develop skills, and learn from top professionals.
