Graphic Design students in the finals of the competition for a poster promoting Zakopane

Students of the Faculty of Computer Engineering, Graphic Design and Architecture in the field of Graphic Design gained spectacular success in the competition for a poster promoting Zakopane. The event was organized by Zakopane City authorities and the Zakopane Cultural Centre.

Seven of the twenty finalists were Vistula University students, who created their works during Jan Smaga’s classes.

These are:

  • Julia Bracha,
  • Oliwia Bylinka,
  • Anastasiia Kravchenko,
  • Nuray Otezhan,
  • Mariia Skurativska,
  • Anastasiia Stasiuk,
  • Khrystyna Vozniak.

The posters refer to the natural, tourist and recreational values of Zakopane. In an artistic form, they show the culture and art of the region.

The main prize will be awarded on March 31st, during the Art Film Show.

The posters of the finalists will be displayed during an exhibition held from April the 1st to April 22nd at the Stadion Kultura Gallery in Zakopane.

The city of Zakopane and its values were praised in the past by outstanding Polish artists, e.g., the father of the Polish poster, Piotr Stachiewicz, Mariusz Zaruski, a famous painter, Zofia Styjeńska, Stefan Norblin, Waldemar Świerzy and Lech Majewski.
