Estonia & the EU in the United Nations. Estonia on the Security Council
The United Nations Association in Poland (UNAP) and the Vistula University invite you to a debate on Estonia’s role in the UN Security Council. The meeting in English will be held on January the 26th from 9:30 – 12:00 am in Aula A4. The number of places is limited. Registration is open until January the 20th.
Estonia’s two-year term as a non-permanent elected member of the UN Security Council has just ended. It was a difficult time. This small country, with only 1.3 million inhabitants, was at the centre of crisis diplomacy related to the COVID-19 pandemic. It also had to deal with many other global security challenges, including Russia’s aggressive policy.
What Estonia’s successes were and what they did not, will be discussed by participants in the debate: Estonia & the EU in the United Nations. Estonia on the Security Council.
