He commences his professional career in 1980 in the Institute of Finance by the Ministry of Finance. In 1987, he was conferred the degree of PhD in economic sciences at Warsaw School of Economics. He was a British Council scholar at Cambridge University in Great Britain as well as a Fulbright scholar in Brookings Institution in the United States. After 1990, his career came to be linked to economic practice. He worked in the Bank Handlowy in Warsaw S.A., as deputy-director of the Economic Department to be finally promoted to the post of the vice-president of the board of directors of the Bank. He was also vice-president of the board of directors of Bank BPH S.A., responsible for finance and risk management. In 2003, he moved to the insurance sector. He was member of the board of directors of PZU S.A., financial director of the European Department of Eureko B.V. (the Netherlands), vice-president of the board of directors of the Polish Insurance Chamber and vice-president of the board of directors Warta Group.
Since 2009, he has been cooperating with Academy of Finance and later Vistula University where he conducts classes in subjects such as: management of credit institutions, managerial accounting, banking and insurance accounting, financial economy of insurance institutions, business planning.
Areas of didactic/scientific interests:
- finance and risk management in financial institutions;
- accountancy of financial institutions;
- managerial accounting, business budgeting and planning.
