Economist and lawyer, manager of the program for the Weimar Triangle at the Polish Institute of International Affairs (PISM); he specialises in research on German economy, the processes of economic integration in Europe, as well as institutional economy; he is a graduate of law of the University of Wrocław, and he completed his doctoral and post-doctoral studies at the University of Economy in Wrocław; in years 2004-2009, he worked at the Willy Brandt German and European Studies Centre in Wrocław, and later at the Centre for International Relations at the University of Wrocław, where he managed the international M.Sc. studies “Global Studies – a European Perspective”; in years 2006-2008, he was a member of the council of the “Krzyżowa” Foundation for Mutual Understanding in Europe, in 2008-2012 – a member of the Permanent Council of the Polish-German Forum, and in years 2015-2017, he was a co-chairman of the management board of the Foundation for German-Polish Cooperation; scholarship recipient of the Commerzbank Foundation and DAAD; a visiting lecturer at universities in Germany, Austria, the USA, South Africa, Canada, South Korea and India; an author of several dozen scientific and analytical works, including a monograph of evolution of German capitalism after the Agenda 2010 reforms and on the economic integration policy of the Federal Republic of Germany in years 1949-2000.
