Warsaw-Kyiv Resilience Forum 2024
Vistula University and the International Centre for Chemical Safety and Security (ICCSS) are inviting you to the Warsaw-Kyiv Resilience Forum 2024. This conference, addressing the challenges arising from Russian aggression against Ukraine, is dedicated to building resilience and preparedness to tackle modern threats at local, national, and European levels. The event will take place in English, on December 19, 2024, in Auditorium A2A at Vistula University campus in Warsaw.
The Warsaw-Kyiv Resilience Forum 2024 is a unique event bringing together leaders, experts, and practitioners in the field of security from Poland, Ukraine, and across Europe.
Notable participants include:
- Brig. Gen. Oleksandr Potii (State Service of Special Communication and Information Protection of Ukraine);
- Prof. Wawrzyniec Konarski, PhD (Rector, Vistula University);
- Krzysztof Paturej (President, ICCSS);
- Albrecht Broemme (Future Forum for Public Safety, Germany);
- Serhiy Kruk (National Nuclear Energy Generating Company “Energoatom”, Ukraine).
One of the Forum’s unique aspects is active engagement of local communities. The most workable solutions to strengthen resilience, such as volunteer networks or fast response systems, are developed locally.
In the context of contemporary challenges, such as Russian military invasion of Ukraine, this Forum provides a platform for sharing experiences and promoting global cooperation.
The conference will focus on:
- Cybersecurity: Strengthening digital infrastructure and protection.
- Societal Resilience: Building strong communities prepared for crises.
- Crisis Preparedness: Developing integrated response systems for emergencies.
The Forum aims to showcase how local initiatives, national programs, and European partnerships can jointly create comprehensive systems for societies’ resilience. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about innovative solutions and best practices developed through Polish-Ukrainian cooperation and international partnerships.
Our speakers will present the latest technologies used in cybersecurity, crisis management, and preparedness for CBRN (chemical, biological, radiological, and nuclear) threats. A key feature of the event is the exchange of experiences with Ukrainian partners, who will share their achievements in societies’ mobilization and coordination across various levels of governance.
