Vistula University in the Prestigious World University Rankings 2025 – A Report from the 10th LUMEN Conference

Professor Wawrzyniec Konarski, PhD, Rector of Vistula University, proudly represented our institution during the 10th edition of the LUMEN conference. At the gala accompanying the conference proceedings, he accepted an award granted to Polish and Ukrainian universities featured in the prestigious World University Rankings 2025. The event took place on November 19-20, 2024.

The World University Rankings is one of the most respected global rankings of higher education institutions, evaluating universities based on their achievements in research, quality of education, internationalization, and collaboration with industry. We are proud to announce that Vistula University has been included in this prestigious ranking as one of the few private universities in Poland. This recognition underscores our high academic standards, innovation, and unwavering commitment to delivering world-class education. The significance of this achievement was acknowledged by the organizers of the 10th LUMEN conference, who honored our university with a distinction.

The LUMEN conference is one of the most important events in the academic community in Poland. Each year, it gathers rectors, vice-rectors, university managers, and experts in education and management to promote best practices in managing higher education institutions. During the 10th anniversary edition, participants reflected on the impact of the LUMEN project on the development of Poland’s higher education sector, particularly regarding digital transformation and changes in university management culture. The main focus, however, was looking toward the future of higher education. Participants discussed the challenges facing the leadership of Polish universities during the 2024-2028 term, exploring strategies to address these challenges effectively. Our presence at the LUMEN conference reaffirms Vistula University’s position as a forward-thinking institution committed to excellence and innovation in higher education.
