Silver medal for Vistulanki

We got silver! Our volleyball team got second place in the finals of the Polish Academic Championships in non-public schools category. In the general classification Vistulanki, led by Jolanta Studzienna, took eleventh place. On the way to the medal, the team defeated volleyball players from Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznan and the University of Gdansk. The final was played from 5th to 7th of May in Opole.

– We are very happy of how the team pleyed. They are a great showcase for our university – said Maciej Szewczyk, President of AZS Vistula. – During the last season, we had small problems with the injuries of the players, but we are very happy with the three medals they have won.

Apart from silver medal at the Polish Academic Championships, this season the Vistulanki also won the bronze medals of the academic championships of Warsaw and Mazovia.
