Dr Marek Kulczycki became a president of FM Bank PBP
We have a great pleasure to announce that Vistula University Rector – Dr Marek Kulczycki became a president of FM Bank PBP.
Dr Marek Kulczycki has wide experience in banking and finance. He started his career in the 70s as an employee of the School of Planning and Statistics (currently Warsaw School of Economics), where he obtained his doctorate in 1976. In 1980 he went to Vienna to work in UNIDO – United Nations Industrial Development. In the second half of the 80s he became a director of the department in the Ministry of Foreign Trade. But in government structures he worked also after the transformation: in 1991 he became a Deputy Minister at the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
In 1995 Marek Kulczycki became a president of the First Polish-American Bank. – What I like about Kulczycki is the the fact that he didn’t engage the authority of the president in any matter. He dealt with the important issues, he let others deal with other matterseft – mentioned his colleague from that period.
At the beginning of the next decade, Marek Kulczycki moved from Fortis Bank to Deutsche Bank 24 – the retail arm of Germany’s largest banking group. Kulczycki had the opportunity both to restructure it, change the brand (in 2003 DB 24 was renamed to Deutsche Bank PBC) and also develop. In 2010 he moved from the board to the supervisory board, where he remained until the beginning of 2014.
After that he began working as a lecturer at a private Vistula University. He was a director of the Institute of Finance and Accounting, the Dean of the Faculty of Business, Vice-rector, and most recently Rector of the Vistula University.
Now he returns to banking.
Congratulations and we wish you every success.
