Bartłomiej E. Nowak, PhD became the chairman of NAWA
Bartłomiej E. Nowak, PhD an esteemed academic at Vistula University has been appointed the chairman of the National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA) Council. The agency works towards the internationalization of Polish science, supporting and stimulating international research cooperation and academic exchange. Its goals include strengthening scientific excellence, internationalizing Polish universities and research institutions, and promoting Poland on the global stage.
Bartłomiej E. Nowak, PhD is a political scientist, PhD of economics, chairman of the Program Council of the United Nations Association in Poland (UNAP). He graduated from the University of Silesia and the Warsaw School of Economics and pursued postgraduate studies in management of economic and political reforms at Harvard University’s John F. Kennedy School of Government. He has been a fellow at the Transatlantic Academy in Washington, the European University Institute in Florence, and the Carnegie Council for Ethics in International Affairs in New York, where he was honored as a “Global Ethics Fellow” for his contributions to the promotion of ethics in international relations as a subject of teaching and research.
For years, Bartłomiej E. Nowak PhD has been engaged in issues concerning global order, globalization, and the future and reforms of the European Union. He worked in the European Parliament (2004-2009), advised Polish delegates in the Convention on the Future of Europe (2002-2003), and served on the government’s National Council for European Integration (2002-2004). Prior to the referendum on Polish membership in the EU, he was a member of the Program Board and one of the founders of the “YES in Referendum” Initiative.
From 2010 to 2013, he served as the Executive Director of one of Poland’s leading independent think tanks, the Centre for International Relations. During this time, he also embarked on his academic career at Vistula University. From 2020 to 2022, he was the President of the Group of Vistula Universities.
