Asia-Pacific Students Society

About us

Due to the number of students from Asia-pacific region has been increasing every year, so we decided to establish the Asia-Pacific Students association in order for students to come together and cerebrate cultures.
Recently, the Association counts more than 70 members – students from Thailand, Laos, Indonesia, Malaysia, Vietnam, India, and Papua New Guinea Etc. But not only native students can join – we are happy to welcome everyone, so please don’t hesitate to join us!

How does it work?

Our actions and goals:

  • Promoting and strengthening the awareness of Asia-Pacific cultures to everyone.
  • Empowering the students with the attitude of serving their countries willingly
  • Reserving a place for the students to illustrate their talents, by organizing various
    kinds of activities, such as trips, events, contests, conferences, national days, many

Our projects

  • Celebration of the diversity Days: We are planning to organize the Asia-Pacific cultural days for all students to show their talents.
  • Trips around Poland: Gdańsk, Łódź, Ełk. The students who join our association will have an opportunities to visit the cities mention above to get to know Poland better from a local places
  • Seminar Events: We plan to invite ambassador for a seminar to Vistula University in order to talk about some productive topic.
  • Cultural days: there will be a cultural days shows from each country for a students to promote their countries to everyone, such as Thailand day, Malaysia day, Vietnam day, and so on.

  • Farewell Thai Ambassador 2019: Learning Thai culture by musical instruments
  • Malaysian Palm Oil Roundtable Dialogue 2019: Discussing along with Dato Dr. Tan Yew Chong, Ministry of Primary Industries, Malaysia. Why importing palm oil to Europe is banned. Most of us think that palm oil is dangerous but its not
  • APSA Korean Night (Korean branch grand opening) 2019: We gather our beloved Asian Student to come and introduce our association for Korean branch. Sumeyye and esma will be the coordinator of our Korean & Japan program. 
    We gather student that have interest in Korean culture and engage them with future planning and activities with APSA.
  • TRC (Temporary Residence Card) Seminar 2019: Mr. Myron KOPCHINSKI explained us how to apply to TRC in correct way.
    We gathered people who hasn’t done and doesn’t know how to apply for TRC and acknowledge all together how to do it in correct way
  • APSA Thai movie Night 2019: We gather students that have interest in Thai culture and engage them with future planning and activities with APSA.
  • APSA Ice-skating 2019: We played ice skating together with APSA member in PGE narodowy. We played the ice skating with the members in order to relieve stress after having quite hard time in college, and it was new experoence  for some of our Asian friends, sicne it is rare to find this kind of games in some asian countries.  
  • APSA New Year’s Party 2019: We held party to celebrate the new year with the member and guests  
    We had fun actitvity such as exchanging gifts, games, costume contests, singing, and enjoying the food from ASEAN countries. The party is not only attended by the students but also other guest like MR.Edip and his wife, Mr.Sa’id and his family, and Mr.jakub with his wife from nusantara foundation.  
  • Christmas celebration event 2019: We joined to the Christmas celebration host by Indonesian Embassy and PPI Polondia
  • Charity event ( Spring rolls charity) 2019: We baked cookies and Asian spring roll, the profits are for charity in the future events (Orphanage house)
  • Asean Seminar 2019: We attended a seminar about ASEAN in collegium civitas. The speakers are the Ambassadors from ASEAN. 
    We discussed about the condition of ASEAN and how the region economic development and relationship with EU. What the opportunities that students and other stockholders could gain by the economic corporation between ASEAN and EU. 
  • Alumni Student Meet-up 2019: We invited the graduates from University to share the experiences to our students  
    We discussed the opportunities of jobs here in Poland, how to attract recruiter from your CV, and other useful advice to live in Warsaw 
  • Anime Night 2019: We gather students that have interest in Japanese culture and engage them with future planning and activities with APSA.
  • APSA help during quarantine 2020: We received a call from Thai Royal embassy that they want to help Thai student of APSA in term of foods  
    We distributed the foods received from Thai Royal embassy to our Thai friends
