Green Environment and Sustainability Club
Green Environment and Sustainability Club is a student-led organization dedicated to promoting environmental awareness, sustainable living, and active community engagement. Our mission is to inspire students to take meaningful action for a greener and more sustainable future through educational, cultural, and interactive initiatives.
One of the club’s flagship projects is the International Sustainability Week, successfully organized in 2024, 2025, and 2026. This annual event brings together students, academics, industry professionals, and international partners to exchange ideas and promote sustainability.
Throughout the week, participants have the opportunity to attend inspiring lectures, panel discussions, and workshops featuring:
- Ambassadors and representatives of various embassies;
- Representatives from companies, organizations, and sustainability-focused businesses;
- Professors and academic staff from partner universities participating in the Erasmus+ programme;
- Interactive workshops, including a Zero Waste Cooking Workshop, demonstrating practical ways to reduce food waste.
International Sustainability Week is also known for its vibrant student activities organized in collaboration with other university clubs. These activities have included robot exhibitions, book exchange initiatives, sustainability games, creative workshops, competitions, and many other engaging events that encourage participation from the entire university community.
A special highlight of the week is the club’s beloved Polar Bear mascot, the symbol of International Sustainability Week. The mascot welcomes visitors throughout the event, creating a friendly atmosphere and offering everyone the chance to take memorable photos.
