Rodrigo Nardotto – a Brazilian artist who loved Poland

In 2018 he came to Poland to learn English at summer courses at Vistula University. Warsaw stole his heart. Brazilian artist Rodrigo Nardotto is coming to the Polish capital again. On January 15 and 16 he will be a guest of our University and show his art, including portraits of Wonder People.

Rodrigo Nardotto combines the technique of acrylic painting, dry pastels, oil paint and watercolour. He does not hide that the work of Vincent Van Gogh inspired him.

We can see in his pictures, scenes from the everyday life of Brazilian cities and villages, take a wonderful trip to bustling Brazil.

The artist used the same technique when painting portraits of Wonder People. He donated 13 paintings to our university.

In mid-January, Rodrigo Nardotto will be a guest at the Vistula University. The program of his visit includes:

  • on January 15, 2020 – workshop with students of Graphics, they will create a portrait of Wisława Szymborska;
  • on 16 January 2020 at 2:30 pm– an exhibition opening, presenting portraits of Wonder People. (in the hall near Aula 1)

The exhibition of Rodrigo Nardotto’s paintings is a part of the mission of the Vistula University, as well as a conformation of our sensitivity to cultural and artistic diversity. We are the most international university in Poland. Students and employees come from a hundred countries, creating an extremely energetic and colourful community, like from Nardotto’s paintings.
