Vistula students presented innovative educational games about the tourism industry

Students of a tourism-related programme presented the results of their semester-long work as part of the course New Technologies and Social Media in International Tourism – Business Project, taught by Dr Joanna Turkiewicz. The projects showed how modern technologies, artificial intelligence and a creative approach to education can support the development of the tourism industry.
During the presentations, students introduced their original concepts for educational games. Their aim was to show, in an attractive and engaging way, what modern tourism, hospitality and service management in the travel industry are all about. The projects covered topics such as guest service, travel organisation, hotel management and responding to various situations that may arise in the tourism sector.
Among the ideas presented was a game based on a crime mystery set in a hotel. While searching for clues and completing the next stages of the story, the player can also test their knowledge of hospitality. It is an example of a project that combines learning, entertainment and the promotion of tourism and hospitality studies in a modern way.
The students worked with tools based on artificial intelligence. AI supported them not only in creating game scenarios and mechanics, but also in preparing graphics, video instructions and short promotional videos for social media.
We are very proud of our students – young people from many countries who worked together to create creative, modern and practical projects. Their work perfectly reflects the character of Vistula University: international, open to new technologies and focused on practical preparation for professional careers.
The results of the students’ work prove that tourism today can be not only a dynamic service industry, but also a space for innovation, creativity and modern educational solutions.
