Is the US – China trade war? Seminar of the Asia Research Institute

USA & China flag
Start: Wed, 26 Feb 2020, 11:30

The China – USA geopolitical and economic system dominated the world in 2019. We can see now how much these powers clash with each other, fight each other, and at the same time are forced to cooperate and agree.

Is the US-China trade war already averted or is it stagnating? Or maybe it will light up soon with greater impetus? The Asia Research Institute of the Vistula University invites you to a seminar that will be devoted to these issues. The event will take place on February 26, 2020, at 11:30 am, in room 213. Janusz Kaczurba, PhD, who specializes in international economic relations will give a lecture. Magdalena Rybicka, vice-director of the Asia Research Institute will lead the discussion.

Janusz Kaczurba, PhD, is a graduate of the Faculty of Foreign Trade in SGPiS (currently SGH), postgraduate studies at the University of Chicago and the University of California, Berkeley. He was the director of the Institute of Business Cycles and Prices of Foreign Trade and the deputy minister of foreign trade. He also worked in diplomacy, in the USA and Switzerland. For 11 years he was the Permanent Representative of Poland in the GATT / WTO trading system in the rank of adviser, minister and ambassador.
