Inauguration of the New Academic Year, 2022/2023, at the A. Gieysztor Academy in Pułtusk

The Rector of the Vistula University, Professor Wawrzyniec Konarski, PhD, opened the New Academic Year, 2022/2023, at the A. Gieysztor Academy in Pułtusk, a branch of Vistula University.

The inauguration of the New Academic Year is an extremely important event for the entire academic community. This is an opportunity to summarise the past year, and present plans for the future. The ceremony is also a unique experience for students starting their studies. A new, fascinating stage of life opens up before them.

The participants of the event were welcomed by an outstanding historian, Professor Radosław Lolo, PhD – Director of the Doctoral School of Vistula University. During the solemn ceremony, Małgorzata Gogolewska-Tośka, PhD – Dean of the Faculty of Humanities of the A. Gieysztor Academy in Pułtusk, delivered a moving speech.

According to tradition, a solemn act of Matriculation was held. Outstanding students received awards. The inaugural lecture: ‘The meanders of Maria Grzegorzewska’s life – women of 2022’,was delivered by Jacek Kulbaka, PhD, Professor at the Academy of Special Education. Maria Grzegorzewska was the founder of special education in Poland, an outstanding teacher and psychologist. She regularly conducted research in the field of pedagogy of people with disabilities.
