Professor in economics, since 2000. Former scholarship holder at the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, Institute for National Planning (Cairo) and Ankara University. A long-time employee of Warsaw University, where he headed Postgraduate Studies for Developing Countries. Consultant of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. He led interdisciplinary research on adjustments to the market economy in Egypt, Turkey, Yemen and Ukraine. Author of about 200 scientific publications in the field of economics and international relations.

Areas of didactic/scientific interests:

  • world economy;
  • behaviour of enterprises under the conditions of a changing market;
  • foreign direct investment in new markets;
  • issues related to economic transformation;
