Open Science Initiatives

In 2015, the Minister of Science and Higher Education adopted “Directions for the development of open access to publications and results of scientific research in Poland”. According to the issued announcement:

“The document presents the assumptions of the open access policy and recommendations regarding the introduction of open access to publications and research results by research funding entities (National Science Centre, National Centre for Research and Development, Ministry of Science and Higher Education), scientific units, universities and publishers. In accord to the Recommendation of the European Commission of 17 July 2012 regarding access to and protection of scientific information, one should strive to disseminate scientific publications and content resulting from publicly-funded research”.
