Vistula as the Coordinator of the “Bridges to Belonging” Project Supporting the Integration of Ukrainian Students

Vistula University serves as the coordinator of the international project “Bridges to Belonging: Integrating Ukrainian Students in European HEIs”, which aims to support the integration of Ukrainian students into European higher education institutions.
The project focuses on addressing the academic, psychological, and social needs of students from Ukraine, while also creating sustainable and effective solutions to support their functioning within the higher education environment. It also aims to strengthen the capacity of universities to implement long-term integration strategies through training, the development of institutional frameworks, and the adaptation of university policies to students’ changing needs.
The project’s main objectives include:
- promoting the inclusion of Ukrainian students in the life of European higher education institutions,
- strengthening universities’ capacity to implement sustainable integration strategies,
- developing cooperation and knowledge-sharing between universities from the European Union and Ukraine,
- supporting universities in assisting internally displaced students through structured educational activities.
The project brings together six partners from Poland, Greece, Ukraine, and Lithuania. One of the activities carried out במסגרת the project was a workshop involving representatives of higher education institutions. Similar workshops were organised by all project partners. The workshop held at Vistula University was prepared and led by Kazimierz Waluch and Edip Senyurek.
The “Bridges to Belonging” project supports the academic, social, and cultural integration of Ukrainian students, while also building the foundation for a more open, resilient, and inclusive European higher education environment.
