THE FUTURE OF UKRAINE: WHAT TO EXPECT?

On 10 March, 16.00-17.00, in Aula 7, the Vistula International Club invites to the seminar “The Future of Ukraine”. The guest speaker is Dr. Marcin Święcicki, who is Member of Polish Parliament. He co-ordinates the team of advisors on decentralization reform in Ukraine.

Dr. Święcicki has got broad international and national experience in politics and economics. He was a co-ordinator of the technical assistance on economic policy and transformation offered by the Polish government to Ukraine in 1999-2000; the director of UNDP/EC Blue Ribbon Analytical and Advisory Centre, Kyiv in 2007 – 2011; and the president of Warsaw city.

The aim of the meeting is to discuss the prospects of Ukraine’s reform amid the war-torn economy and the assistance that that should be offered by international community to help transforming it. Dr. Święcicki will also outline the scenarios for development of the conflict with Russia and the future of Ukraine’s integration with the EU.

The meeting will be held in English.
