The Faculty of Humanities at Vistula University Inspires High School Students to Grow

Over 200 high school students have recently visited the Faculty of Humanities at Vistula University, located in Pułtusk. The students from Różan, Legionowo, and Pułtusk attended the event to explore the educational opportunities offered by our University.
The guests were warmly welcomed by Małgorzata Gogolewska-Tośka, PhD, Dean of the Faculty of Humanities. The Vice-Rector for Science, Professor Radosław Lolo, PhD, then took the stage to present the diversity of study programs and the promising career prospects available to graduates. As a distinguished historian and science popularizer, Prof. Lolo emphasized the University’s strong commitment to integrating theoretical knowledge with practical skills—a crucial approach in today’s competitive job market.

The presentation of individual study programs was led by the directors of respective programs. Grażyna Gadomska PhD introduced the Finance and Accounting program as well as the National Security program (on behalf of General Dr. Bogusław Bębenek). Roman Biskupski, PhD provided insights into what students can expect from the Administration program. Meanwhile, Małgorzata Gogolewska-Tośka, PhD highlighted the wide range of development opportunities available through studying Pedagogy and Preschool and Early School Education.

A lecture by Joanna Jaworska, PhD titled “Behavioral Economics: How Do People Make Consumer Decisions?”, sparked significant interest among the participants. She delved into the psychological and social mechanisms that influence consumer decision-making. The lively discussion that followed demonstrated the growing awareness and curiosity among young people regarding market behavior.
The event concluded with a thought-provoking lecture by Prof. Zbigniew Romek, PhD, titled “The Word as a Tool of Communication.” Professor Romek emphasized the critical role of language in building relationships, facilitating effective information exchange, and navigating negotiations.
The meeting with lecturers from the Faculty of Humanities at Vistula University provided students with an opportunity to ask questions and receive answers to their pressing concerns. Thanks to this event, participants gained a clearer understanding of their options and are now better prepared to enter the academic and professional world with greater confidence.
