Status and development of bilateral economic cooperation between Poland and Ukraine
On 16 November 2015 Vistula University in Warsaw on a str Stoklosy 3 was held an International Scientific Conference of the Faculty of Business and International relations, chaired by the Dean, Prof. Julius Kotyński, named “Status and development of bilateral economic cooperation between Poland and Ukraine”
Patronage of the Conference was covered by the Polish-Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce, represented by the President Jacek Piechota, who actively participated in the meeting.
The aim of the Conference was a presentation and discussion of scientific and practical experience, and exchange of views on the development of bilateral economic cooperation between Poland and Ukraine.
To the Conference participants was sent a letter by the Secretary of the Ministry of Economic development and Trade of Ukraine with wishes of successful cooperation between Ukraine and Poland – read by Director of the Institute of Economy and Prognoses in Kiev, Prof. Igor Makarenko.
This International Conference was attended by approx. 80 participants from Poland and Ukraine, and lots of students of the University.
This meeting allowed to analyze multiple problems proposed in specific thematic areas of the conference. Special attention has been given to enhanced cooperation between the two countries and resolving common problems.
The Conference was the result of the activities of the scientific team led by Dr. Olga Charucka in the matter of research development of economic relations of Ukraine and Poland and activities in areas of neighbouring countries. Papers presented at conferences and sent the organizers will be published by the Publishing House of the Vistula Group of Universities.
Foreign guests have been hosted by dr. Marek Kulczycki-Rector of Vistula University; they had conversations with Polish partners for the further cooperation.
