dr hab. Stanisław Faliński
Politolog, historyk, samorządowiec, dziennikarz telewizyjny, reżyser filmów dokumentalnych. Profesor w Collegium Civitas. 1989 – 1994 pracownik Telewizji Polskiej. Autor i współautor kilku cykli studyjno – filmowych poświęconych historii Polski w XX wieku, autor ponad 100 felietonów filmowych, kilkudziesięciu reportaży filmowych i kilku filmów dokumentalnych (m. in. Lotnicy oraz Pogwarki i WRAK). 1990 – 2002 radny warszawski różnych szczebli, gminnego i warszawskiego. Pierwszy (1990 – 1991) przewodniczący Rady Dzielnicy – Gminy Warszawa – Mokotów. 1994 – 2002 burmistrz gminy Warszawa – Ursynów. 2003 – 2005 doradca prezesa Banku Gospodarki Żywnościowej. Od 2006 wykładowca różnych, publicznych i niepublicznych uczelni wyższych. Autor ponad 30 książek i artykułów naukowych. Zajmuje się głównie zdecentralizowaną władzą publiczną i samorządem terytorialnym w Polsce i Unii Europejskiej, politykami lokalnymi i regionalnymi, oraz aktywnością międzynarodową samorządów terytorialnych.
