Inauguration of the Academic Year 2025/2026

The Vistula University will officially inaugurate the Academic Year 2025/2026 on Thursday, October 23, 2025, at 12:30 p.m. in Aula 4.
The inauguration of the academic year is one of the most important and momentous events in the life of our academic community. It is a symbolic moment marking the beginning of a new stage in research, teaching, and development. It is also a time to summarize the achievements of the past year and warmly welcome new students starting their journey at Vistula. The ceremony will include the formal act of matriculation, marking the admission of first-year students to the university community.
The program will feature traditional speeches by:
- Prof. Wawrzyniec Konarski, PhD, Rector of the Vistula University,
- Prof. Krzysztof Celuch, PhD, Rector of the Vistula School of Hospitality.
During the inauguration, doctoral diplomas, student awards for outstanding achievements, and congratulatory letters for university staff will also be presented.
The inaugural lecture, titled “Why is digital transformation so slow?”, will be delivered by Prof. Wojciech Czakon, PhD, dr h.c., from the Faculty of Management and Communication at Jagiellonian University in Kraków – a distinguished scholar in the field of strategy and organizational behavior, Honorary Doctor of the Wrocław University of Economics, member of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and former Vice President of EURAM.
Due to the event, rector’s hours will be in effect on October 23, from 12:05 to 14:25.
