Double Degree Programme with Centria University of Applied Sciences – a new opportunity for Vistula engineering students

Vistula students have gained another opportunity to develop in an international academic environment. Thanks to the double degree agreement signed with Centria University of Applied Sciences in Finland, they can complete part of their studies at the partner university and, after fulfilling the programme requirements, obtain an engineering degree awarded by both institutions.
Centria University of Applied Sciences is a modern and dynamic international university offering degree programmes in English. The double degree programme gives students not only the chance to earn an additional diploma, but also an opportunity to study within a different educational system, strengthen their language skills and gain experience that can significantly enhance their career prospects.
As part of the programme, students may spend two semesters at Centria – during their 3rd and 4th semester or 4th and 5th semester of studies. The selection of courses is assessed individually by the Head of the Degree Programme, taking into account the student’s academic progress, personal needs and specialisation preferences.
To obtain the double degree, students are required to complete at least 60 ECTS credits at Centria. In addition, they must complete 30 extra ECTS credits, either during their stay at the partner university or online after the mobility period.
Applications are handled through the Erasmus Office, and mobility is organised in accordance with Erasmus+ rules. Grants are awarded according to the applicable Erasmus+ regulations.
Students participating in the programme continue to pay tuition fees to Vistula in order to maintain their student status at their home university. At Centria, additional tuition and application fees may apply to citizens of countries outside the European Union, the European Economic Area and Switzerland. In such cases, the current tuition fees listed on Centria’s programme webpage apply, and students nominated by Vistula are entitled to a 10% discount. No tuition or application fees are charged by the partner university to citizens of the EU, EEA or Switzerland.
Students are also required to hold valid health insurance with international coverage, in accordance with the requirements of the Finnish Immigration Service.
