Christmas Concert at Vistula

On 19 December, we had the pleasure of hosting a Christmas Concert in Auditorium 4. From the afternoon onwards, students could enjoy attractions prepared by student clubs. Starting at 3:00 p.m., the Movie Club in cooperation with the Drama Club organised a Christmas Quest – a campus game in a festive, adventure-style climate. At 5:00 p.m., the Social Club invited everyone to Christmas Friending, where participants could meet new people and spend time together in a relaxed, Christmas atmosphere filled with conversation and music.
At 5:30 p.m., the Christmas tree lights were officially switched on in the main hall. Kalina Rawicz performed a moving rendition of Mary Did You Know, and Rector Prof. Wawrzyniec Konarski delivered a holiday speech, thanking students for their engagement and for building Vistula’s international community. Afterwards, it was time for shared dancing – the Dance Club got everyone moving with Just Dance, turning the hall into a huge dance floor.
The highlight of the day began at 7:00 p.m. in Auditorium 4 – the Vistula Christmas Concert. The evening was hosted by Olaf Bojko and Shamikha Gazali, who guided the audience through a series of solo and group performances. The concert opened with an original music-and-theatre performance created by Jay (Joshua Kumasi), Kalina Rawicz and Adam (piano), combining music, narration and theatrical elements.
Students from various programmes and student clubs appeared on stage – from vocal and dance solos, through duets, to band performances and a finale in which the whole audience joined in. The programme was prepared, among others, by Aleksa from the Movie Club, Omar from the Photo Club, Ahmet from the Music Club and Dmytro from the Student Council, supported by many other dedicated volunteers and student organisation members.
The concert was streamed live on Twitch and YouTube – the recording is still available for everyone who would like to once again experience Vistula’s Christmas atmosphere or who could not attend the event in person.
