15 Years of Journey, Passion, and Success: The Jubilee of the Student Science Club of Business Tourism “2B”

The Student Science Club of Business Tourism “2B” has just celebrated its 15th anniversary. The jubilee gala took place on February 27, 2025, at the Sofitel Warsaw Victoria Hotel. The event brought together current and former members of the club, industry representatives, the Business Council of the Vistula School of Hospitality, and members of the MPI Poland Chapter.

An immersive journey through time

The central theme of the jubilee gala was an airplane journey. Guests received specially designed boarding passes, and a symbolic check-in, the room’s arrangement, announcements, and other details immersed them in the atmosphere of a unique journey through the history and achievements of the “2B” Club.

– Organizing such a large event required tremendous effort – emphasized Valeriia Bilozertseva, the current president of the Club. – For three months, 16 members worked on this project – we speak seven different native languages, come from diverse cultures, and view the world from different perspectives. Many of us had no prior experience in event organization, but we were united by one thing: passion and the desire to create something truly unforgettable – said Valeriia.

A history that inspires

The unique format of the event showcased the history of the “2B” Club. It was founded in 2010 by Professor Krzysztof Celuch, PhD, the current Rector of the VSH. Since then, it has become a platform for students interested in business tourism and event organization, offering them the opportunity to gain practical knowledge and build valuable industry connections.

Over the years, the club has earned a reputation as one of the most active and influential student organizations in Poland. It has significantly impacted the professional careers of many individuals.
– Collecting materials, memories, photos, and stories from the past 15 years of the “2B” Club’s activities was a challenge but also an incredibly rewarding process – said Nikola Naus, former president and organizer of the jubilee event. – It is proof of the strength of a community that has shaped the future leaders of the meetings industry. I am proud to have been part of such an inspiring organization that has had a tremendous impact on my career.

Acknowledgments and awards

During the gala, a silent auction was held to benefit the MPI Foundation, an organization that has long supported the VSH students by awarding scholarships for participation in international industry events. Thanks to the generosity of the guests, PLN 12,200 was raised, which will be used to further support young talents.

The ceremony was also an opportunity to honor Wojciech Liszka, a basketball referee long associated with the Vistula School of Hospitality. Piotr Borys, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, presented him with an award for his contributions to sports.

Wishes for continued success

The 15th-anniversary celebration of the Student Science Club of Business Tourism “2B” will be remembered as a moment filled with emotions, motivation for further action, and wishes for many more successes. It is also a source of immense satisfaction and pride for the entire University.

The activities of the club and the achievements of its members demonstrate that our student community has a real impact on the development of the tourism and event industry in Poland and worldwide. Here’s to many more years of success and inspiration for the “2B” Club!
