English Philology students of AFiB Vistula at the Multilingual Education High School

English Philology students of the Vistula University, pursuing the EFL Teaching and Tutoring specialisation, took part in classes at the Multilingual Education High School (LEW). The visit was organised thanks to the kindness of Headmistress Agata Żurowska, a member of the AFiB Vistula Business Council.
As part of the course Introduction to EFL Teaching and Tutoring, students observed English lessons to give a practical dimension to their teacher training. They accompanied teachers in their work with pupils, looking closely at teaching methods, ways of engaging the class, and building a multilingual learning environment.
The participants spoke very positively about this form of learning – they actively engaged in the classroom observation and, after the lessons, prepared short pieces of written feedback. This was part of practising gratitude and a culture of developmental feedback, which they work on together during group-based classes.
The visit to LEW is a good example of fruitful cooperation between AFiB Vistula and its Business Council partners, as well as an important step towards even more practice-oriented preparation of English Philology students for their future roles as EFL teachers and tutors.
