My profession does not exist yet. I will use technologies that have not yet been invented and work on issues that are not yet an issue \u2026 What are our future professions?<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

We face a complete revolution on the labour market. Artificial intelligence, automation, digitization will soon wipe off many of the professions existing today. Will machines replace people and take our jobs? What should young people learn in order to have a satisfying and well-paid job in the future?<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The future is the STEM professions, i.e., science, technology, engineering and mathematics. Experts in the scientific prediction of the future from the Idea Couture or Sparks & Honey companies mention, among others, such professions as Personal Digital Curator, Garbage Designer, Simplicity Designer or Digital Death Manager. <\/span><\/p>\n

In the second case, it is a person who will find new applications for materials that have already been used or design such products that will be easy to reprocess or reuse in the future. The Simplicity Designer is the so-called expert in \u201cmaking things easier,\u201d who will introduce solutions facilitating the functioning of the company, both as regards people and procedures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On the other hand, the Digital Death Manager is a specialist who will have access to all our passwords on websites and will help us end our lives on the Internet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Professions that will disappear due to implementation of artificial intelligence<\/span><\/h2>\n

According to scientists from the Oxford and Yale Universities, such professions as cashier, insurance agent, translator, accountant and driver will cease to exist. Their work can be successfully performed by artificial intelligence. In 10-20 years, there will be no more human-driven cars – says Prof. Krzysztof Rybi\u0144ski, an economist and data scientist, lecturer at <\/span>Vistula University<\/b> from the Vistula Group of Universities. <\/span><\/p>\n

We face such changes in every area of life, but that does not mean that robots will replace humans. According to the report The next era of human-machine partnership<\/em>, robots are to become human partners and replace them in the most tedious, time-consuming and repetitive tasks. Although robots are very accurate and learn faster and faster, they are still devoid of feelings. In interpersonal relationships, they lack empathy, support and compassion. At least for now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The virtual world has become parallel to the real world. Today we live permanently connected to the network and we are always online. We work in virtual teams more and more often and we don\u2019t even know our colleagues. In 10-15 years, we will spend even less time in the office, we will mostly stay at home or travel, and work not 5 but 4 days a week. Our career will not be based on one learned profession. Why? – Thanks to the development of medicine, we live longer and longer, but from the professional perspective, it means that we will have to continuously improve our skills, constantly learn and change professions, and therefore frequently change jobs – says Prof. Marlena Pleba\u0144ska, an expert in the field of digital education at Vistula University<\/strong>. – According to The Future of Jobs<\/em> report, the key skills will include: critical thinking, complex problem solving, creativity, people management, teamwork, emotional intelligence, decision-making and cognitive flexibility, i.e. the ability to adapt to constantly changing working conditions and a new environment – adds the expert.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The key challenge will be to combine digital competences with social competences. Only such a set of skills will allow young people to compete on the labour market, create this market, rather than being its passive observer. Thanks to this, they will be flexible and ready to take on new challenges, regardless of technological, demographic or economic changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
