In the Stanford University \u201cWorld\u2019s Top 2% Scientists\u201d 2025 ranking, Dr. Shahriyar Mukhtarov and Prof. Piotr Borowski were both recognized for their academic impact.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>We are proud to announce that Dr. Shahriyar Mukhtarov from the Faculty of Business and International Relations and Prof. Piotr Borowski from the Faculty of Business and International Relations have once again been included in this prestigious \u201cWorld\u2019s Top 2% Scientists\u201d list, prepared by Stanford University and Elsevier.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This recognition is awarded to about 2% of the most influential scientists worldwide and is based on an international analysis of citations, publication records, and bibliometric indicators. Researchers are classified into 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Dr. Shahriyar Mukhtarov<\/strong> has been ranked for the third consecutive year, <a href=\"https:\/\/topresearcherslist.com\/Home\/Profile\/1027526\">placing 1,537th<\/a> in the Energy subfield in 2025 (out of more than 343,000 authors). His work focuses on economics and energy research, with citation metrics confirming the international impact of his publications.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Prof. Piotr Borowski, Eng., PhD, DSc<\/strong>, Chairman of the Scientific Council for the Discipline of Management and Quality Sciences &#8211; has been listed for the fourth time among the global Top 2%, <a href=\"https:\/\/topresearcherslist.com\/Home\/Profile\/1009230\">ranking 934th<\/a>. This distinction reflects his outstanding achievements in the field of business management, particularly in the energy sector. In the era of a zero-emission economy, the results of his scientific work help shape the global approach to this issue. His research emphasizes the importance of adaptability as a key strategy for the development of energy enterprises.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:30px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>This distinction is also an inspiration for Vistula students, who have the opportunity to learn from faculty actively shaping global science and to participate in research projects of worldwide relevance.
