Vistula University invites you to the exhibition \u201cArt and Therapy II,\u201d<\/em> which will be on display throughout the month of June in the Gallery near the Auditorium Halls on our campus. This exceptional collection of works, created at the intersection of art and therapy, reveals the profound healing and self-discovery that can emerge through creative expression.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The project is a collaboration between Dorota Wejchert<\/strong>, PhD Eng. Arch., visual artist and lecturer at Vistula University, and Monika Fonberg-Broczek<\/strong>, PhD, a biologist from the University of Warsaw dealing with depression. Their shared artistic journey began four years ago with quiet drawing sessions designed to support emotional recovery. Over time, this initiative evolved into a deep, collaborative artistic dialogue.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition features works rendered in dry pastels<\/strong>\u2014a subtle, challenging medium that yields remarkable visual depth. The pieces are inspired by nature: gardens, fragments of plants, and the interplay of light and shadow. Together, they form the \u201cBlack Gardens<\/strong>\u201d cycle, where dark backgrounds heighten the vibrancy of floral colors and the mystery of organic forms. Straddling the line between drawing and painting, these works reveal the fleeting beauty of gardens\u2014their detail, light, and atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cArt and Therapy II\u201d<\/strong> is both a continuation of the first exhibition and a narrative about dissolving boundaries\u2014between teacher and student, between therapy and artistic creation. It is a powerful testament to the transformative potential of nature, creativity, and human relationships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The exhibition is held in conjunction with the conference ETNAFORMACJA: \u201cMedicinal Plants in Science and Culture 4\u201d<\/strong>,<\/strong> taking place from May 23\u201325 in Ciechanowiec and Warsaw. Selected works will also be on display at the Staszic Palace of the Polish Academy of Sciences<\/strong> on May 24\u201325.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
